EB Games Pokémon 30th Midnight Launch EB Games is holding midnight launch events for Pokémon’s 30th Celebration at 30 stores across Australia. When: Tuesday 15 September from 9:00 PM TCG preorder collection: From 12:01 AM Wednesday 16 September In-store preorders now available CardWatch has confirmed with multiple EB Games stores that 30th Celebrations Knockout Collections and Mini Tins can now be preordered in store. Mini Tins are available to preorder up to 5 per person. For Knockout Collections, stores are advising different preorder limits based on available stock. Some stores are allowing up to 5, while others are limiting customers to fewer. Any existing online preorders count towards your total. EB Plus is required. We recommend confirming the current Knockout Collection limit and availability with your local EB Games before travelling. Midnight launch Customers attending participating stores can shop the EB-exclusive Pokémon 30th apparel and homewares range from 9:00 PM, with eligible Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration preorders available for collection from 12:01 AM. Pikachu promo card The Pokémon World Championships 2026 Pikachu promo card will also be available from 12:01 AM at participating midnight launch stores. To qualify, you must spend $20 or more on Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration products in a single transaction. Promo cards are available while stocks last, are first come, first served, and cannot be preordered or reserved.

Pokémon 30th Celebration Australia - 16 September Drop

The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration range is releasing across major Australian retailers throughout September, with stock expected at BIG W, Kmart, Target, Toymate, and other retailers. The range includes the Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundle, Mini Tins, Sylveon and Greninja ex Boxes, Knock Out Collection, Poster Collection, Tech Sticker Collection, Binder Collection, Ditto Premium Collection, Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections, Espeon and Umbreon Ultra Premium Collections and other products. Stock levels and release timing will vary between retailers and stores, with some products available online, through preorder or as part of an in-store release. BIG W is currently expected to release a number of 30th Celebration products in stores from Wednesday 16 September. However, multiple reports now indicate that the Elite Trainer Box and ex Boxes may not be available as part of the 16 September in-store release. This has not yet been officially confirmed by BIG W. Publicly circulated stock information indicated more than 12,000 Elite Trainer Boxes and more than 9,500 ex Boxes had been allocated across BIG W. More recent reports suggest the planned in-store allocation for these products may have been exhausted through preorder. Other BIG W products currently expected for the 16 September release include the Binder Collection, Poster Collection, Knock Out Collection and Tech Sticker Collection. The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Ascended Heroes tins are expected to release in stores on Friday, 4 September 2026. BIG W stock has now been confirmed, with store allocations available on this page. Kmart is also expected to receive similar stock levels based on previous Pokémon releases, while Target is likely to receive smaller quantities. Availability will vary between stores. Toymate, Games World and Myer are also likely to carry the tins, along with Mr Toys stores in Queensland. The assortment includes tins featuring Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex and Mega Feraligatr ex. Big W 30th Celebration Drop

BIG W released another wave of Pokémon TCG stock on 4 September. As part of ongoing testing to improve early signal coverage, CardWatch’s Discord-only Priority Alerts detected availability signals and alerted members quickly. During the drop, products could be purchased through BIG W search results before the individual product pages displayed an Add to Cart button. This meant some alert links appeared not to work when opened, even though the products were already available to purchase through search. Several customers also encountered problems with BIG W’s cart and checkout system. CardWatch will use what was learned from this drop to improve automated alerts, including adding BIG W-specific purchase guidance. This will help members understand when products may be available through search before the linked product page is ready. BIG W previously released more of the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration range on 3 September, including the Booster Bundle, Sylveon ex Box and Greninja ex Box. CardWatch detected the products as they became available and alerted members. CardWatch also provided live guidance in Discord throughout the 3 September drop, helping members navigate BIG W’s queue and checkout issues. The community reported a strong success rate across the newly released products. This followed the Elite Trainer Box release on 1 September and a 31 August drop featuring the Knock Out Collection, Poster Collection and Ascended Heroes tins. Demand was high and some customers encountered cart and checkout issues, but many CardWatch members successfully secured products. The Ditto Premium Collection had also briefly appeared on 24 and 27 August. CardWatch detected both releases, although BIG W later cancelled some orders, leaving the amount of fulfilled stock unclear. The overall rollout has been fragmented, with products becoming available through several limited drops rather than one coordinated launch. During this period, customers encountered BIG W’s queue and CAPTCHA along with unusual product availability and cart behaviour. The range was originally expected to launch on 10 July but did not go live as anticipated. The Elite Trainer Box briefly appeared a day earlier, with a small number of orders later cancelled and refunded. CardWatch continues to monitor BIG W for 30th Celebration restocks and remaining products from the range. EB Games 30th Celebration Round 2 - Online Preorders Friday 10am AEST

EB Games’ second online preorder round for the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration range went live at 10am AEST on Friday 28 August, followed by another drop at approximately 4pm AEST. The release was exclusive to EB Plus members, with a strict limit of one product total per member. Customers who ordered during the first preorder round were eligible to purchase again. CardWatch monitored both drops and alerted members as products became available. Despite extremely limited stock, a number of members successfully secured products, including the highly sought-after Espeon and Umbreon Ultra Premium Collections. Update (7 July): JB Hi-Fi has now completed its relisting of the Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary products. CardWatch detected all products becoming available immediately as the drop began. While JB Hi-Fi again experienced significant website performance issues under heavy demand, many customers reported successfully placing orders within 20–30 minutes of the products going live. EB Games also launched its allocation, however prices were significantly higher than those offered by most other Australian retailers, leading many customers to wait for other retailers rather than purchase immediately. CardWatch will continue monitoring participating retailers for any further restocks or additional allocations.
