Pokémon Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Premium Collection: 30 October Australian Release Guide
Friday 30 October 2026 · Australia
Last updated 18 October 2026
The Pokémon TCG: Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Premium Collection releases across Australia on Friday 30 October 2026, with major retailers and specialist TCG stores expected to stock it. Several retailers have already opened preorders, while others are yet to release their stock. BIG W also has a reported allocation across 177 stores. This guide covers where to buy, previous preorder activity and what to expect on release day. For the full product lineup and later release waves, see the Focused Fighters Premium Collection release page.
The Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Premium Collection
One product, from the Mega Evolution series' Ascended Heroes expansion, sold through major retailers and specialist stores nationwide.

Inside are 14 Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes booster packs, four foil promo cards (Mega Hawlucha ex, Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, N's Reshiram and N's Zekrom) and an oversize foil Mega Hawlucha ex for display. Major retailers have priced it at $140 (JB Hi-Fi, Kmart) and $199 (EB Games, Toymate); specialist store prices vary widely, from $160 upward. The retailer listings CardWatch tracks are on the product release page.
BIG W allocation by state
BIG W's reported per-store allocation of the Focused Fighters Premium Collection, summarised by state from CardWatch's stock report. These are reported store allocations, not guaranteed shelf stock.
| State | Stores | Units reported |
|---|---|---|
| NSW | 58 | 2,020+ |
| QLD | 46 | 1,635+ |
| VIC | 28 | 910+ |
| WA | 17 | 615+ |
| SA | 18 | 435+ |
| ACT | 5 | 195+ |
| TAS | 3 | 90+ |
| NT | 2 | 80+ |
| All states | 177 | 6,000+ |
Big W report loaded 16 October 2026; 177 stores across 8 states.
BIG W has a reported allocation of around 6,000 units across 177 stores, averaging approximately 34 per store. Individual allocations vary from around a dozen to the high seventies, with busier stores generally receiving more stock. Check the store-by-store breakdown to see how many your local store is expected to receive.
Release times
JB Hi-Fi, EB Games and Toymate have already offered online preorders, while Kmart's preorder listing appeared briefly on 8 October amid apparent automated checkout activity. Specialist retailers have also listed the Australian release, with further preorders and online stock still possible. BIG W and Target remain worth watching for upcoming online releases, although no dates or times have been confirmed.
Release day itself is primarily an in-store opportunity, and this is a nationwide release: Myer, BIG W and Target are among the main retailers to check, with Games World, Toyworld, Toymate and local Pokémon and TCG stores also worth a look. BIG W has reported a store-by-store allocation, summarised above, which makes it one of the better-documented options, although stock at any individual store is not guaranteed. BIG W stores generally open from 8am and Target stores at 8am or 9am depending on location, so arriving before opening is a sensible approach; individual store availability and launch arrangements have not been confirmed, so check with your local stores first.
Target has released Pokémon stock online on previous launch days, so keep alerts on rather than relying on a predicted time. No retailer has announced special opening arrangements, and the 30th Celebration Battle Decks release the same day, so stores carrying both may see more interest than a single-product launch would bring.

Community reports come from members and can change quickly; treat them as a guide to what is happening, not as retailer announcements.
Where to buy on release day
Online vs in-store availability by retailer. Availability, limits and product mix can differ by store and location.
BIG W has reported a per-store allocation, summarised by state above, which makes it one of the better-documented in-store options. Stores generally open at 8am, and no special opening arrangements have been announced. BIG W has been expected to release stock online as well, but it has not listed the collection and no online release has been confirmed, so keep alerts enabled rather than assuming one. Reported allocation is a store allocation, not guaranteed shelf stock.

Kmart's $140 preorder listing appeared briefly on 8 October. It appears the stock was heavily botted through Kmart's backend before customers had a chance to complete checkout through the website, with no confirmed successful manual purchases. Kmart lists the collection for 30 October, but further online stock and in-store availability remain unconfirmed.
Listing: $140 · 8 Oct · Release date listed 30 Oct
CardWatch identified the collection loaded at JB Hi-Fi on 1 October at $140 with a limit of one per order and an allocation of 4,200 units, and JB put it live at 10:03am AEST on Friday 2 October; CardWatch alerted as it went live, and last saw the listing at 10:13am. It has not been listed since; further online stock is possible, but none has been confirmed. JB Hi-Fi primarily sells Pokémon TCG online, so any restock is more likely to appear online than in store.
Preorder: $140 · limit 1 per order · live 2 Oct 10:03am AEST · last seen 10:13am
EB Games ran a 10am AEST preorder on Friday 2 October that it had teased the day before without naming the product; its listing appeared at $199 and was already out of stock when CardWatch first saw it at 10:07am. Further online stock is possible but unconfirmed. Whether EB will have it for walk-in customers on release day is also unconfirmed, and EB has announced nothing about the launch.
Preorder: $199 · 2 Oct, 10am AEST · out of stock within minutes
Target has stocked recent Pokémon launches in store and is expected to carry this collection, so it is one of the main stores to check on the day, with stores opening at 8am or 9am depending on location. Target has also released Pokémon stock online on launch days before, so keep watching online as well. Target has not listed the collection yet, and no store allocation or online release is confirmed.
Toymate's $199 preorder listing appeared briefly several times on 2 October, around 11am and 1pm AEST, and now shows as available soon. Toymate's purchase limits apply to in-store purchases as well as online orders, which points to an in-store release, and it has stocked previous Pokémon launches in store. Individual store stock and any special opening hours remain unconfirmed.
Preorder: $199 · 2 Oct, brief appearances around 11am and 1pm AEST · listing now shows available soon
Other retailers to watch
Distribution is wider than the stores above. Myer is also expected to receive the collection, with indications that the product has already been loaded into its system; in-store availability is anticipated, although individual store allocations have not been confirmed. Games World, Toyworld and Kidstuff have carried recent Pokémon launches in store and are worth checking. Independent Pokémon and TCG specialist stores across Australia are also expected to receive stock; many allocate through preorder lists or waitlists, so ask your local store before release day rather than assuming walk-in stock.
Specialist stores
Australian specialist stores have listed the Focused Fighters Premium Collection at a wide range of prices. Collectible Madness listed it at $160, Gameology at $179.95 and Card Plus TCG at $245, with Card Plus closing preorders on 16 October. Drop Store Collectables has also advertised preorders at $359.95 for stock it describes as imported. Imported US stock has been available through some Australian stores since July. Other specialist stores may offer preorders, waitlists or release-day stock, so check each retailer's price and availability before ordering.
Going in-store? Read this first
High-demand launches are handled differently by each store and shopping centre, so confirm the details for your specific store on the day. See the full in-store release day guide.
Shopping-centre access
If the store is inside a shopping centre, check the centre's own opening and access information as well as the store's advertised time. Some public entrances open earlier because they service early-opening tenants (supermarkets, gyms), and different entrances can leave you much closer to Kmart, BIG W and the like. Do not use staff-only or restricted entrances, and do not assume a queue at one exterior entrance is the only queue. When you arrive, confirm where the actual store queue is forming.
Find where the line is forming
Most stores will use the normal entrance and a simple first-come queue. Some stores may hand out numbered tickets or stickers, or introduce another queue system on the day. If staff or security are managing the queue, follow their directions.
Arrive early and expect queues
Arrive early and expect queues to form outside the shopping centre before opening. Once the centre opens, customers will generally make their way to the retailer and form a second queue outside the store. Queue management varies by location. Some stores may hand out numbers or tickets, use stickers, or introduce purchase limits, while others may simply serve customers in queue order.
24-hour Kmart
A 24-hour Kmart does not necessarily mean a midnight Pokémon release. On previous launches, collector reports have varied: some stores released around midnight, others held launch stock until the morning. Check with the specific store rather than assuming stock will be released at 12:00am.
CardWatch state channels
Check your CardWatch Discord state channel before travelling and while moving between stores. Members share live local intelligence: queue sizes, where the queue is forming, whether numbers are being handed out, reported limits, whether stock has reached the floor or customer service, and whether a store looks sold out. These are live community reports and can change or be incorrect. Open the CardWatch Discord.
Have a backup store
Pick a second destination before launch morning. Areas with several relevant retailers (Kmart, BIG W, Toymate, Toyworld, Games World and local card stores) give you another option if your first store has a big queue, gets no stock or sells out. None of these are guaranteed to have release-day stock.
Before you leave home
- Check the retailer's opening time
- Check the shopping centre's opening time and public entrances
- Check the latest retailer and local-store social posts
- Check your CardWatch state channel
- Know your backup store
- Don't assume another store's limits or queue system applies to yours
Release-day game plan
- Know what you are buying: One product: the Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Premium Collection, with 14 booster packs, four promo cards and an oversize card. Major retailers have priced it at $140 to $199; specialist store prices vary widely, so check the listed price before ordering.
- Going in-store: Myer, BIG W and Target are among the main retailers to check on release day. Games World, Toyworld, Toymate and local Pokémon and TCG stores are also worth checking, with availability varying by location. BIG W has a reported store allocation, making it one of the better-documented options, but stock at individual stores is not guaranteed. Check with your local stores before heading out.
- CardWatch state channels: Before you leave, check your state's channel in the free CardWatch Discord for queue sizes, store openings, purchase limits, sightings and sold-out reports from shoppers near you, and post what you see so others can act on it. These are live member reports, not retailer announcements, and they can change within minutes.
- Preorders and online: Keep CardWatch alerts enabled for potential online drops or restocks, particularly at BIG W and Target. No further release times have been confirmed, so check retailer listings rather than relying on a predicted drop time.
- Same-day release: The 30th Celebration Battle Decks release the same morning. If you are after both, the same major retailers are the likely places, and queues may be longer than for a single product.
