Tips for clean scans
A few small things that materially boost match accuracy.
Fill the frame
Get close so the card edges are near the photo borders. Small cards in big photos are the #1 cause of misreads.
Even, indirect light
Avoid glare. Overhead room light or window light at an angle reads better than direct flash on holo cards.
Sharp focus on the title
The card name + number drive matching. If those are blurry, confidence drops fast even when the art looks fine.
