Pokémon 30th Celebration 5 Booster Tin: 6 November Australian Release Guide
Friday 6 November 2026 · Australia
Last updated 18 October 2026
The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration 5 Booster Tin releases in Australia on Friday 6 November 2026, brought forward from 4 December, as confirmed by JB Hi-Fi and EB Games. BIG W and Kmart previously listed December dates, and their release-day arrangements have not yet been confirmed. The tin comes in two designs, Sylveon ex and Greninja ex, each with five 30th Celebration booster packs and a foil promo card, and most retailers sell it as one assorted line. This guide covers which retailers have already taken preorders and at what price, what to expect in store on release day, and what is still unconfirmed as of 18 October. For the full product lineup and later release waves, see the Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration release page.
The 5 Booster Tin
One product in two designs, Sylveon ex and Greninja ex. Most Australian retailers list it as one assorted line, so you may not get to choose the design. The naming and pack-count differences you may see on retailer pages are explained on the product release page.

30th Celebration 5 Booster Tin (Sylveon ex or Greninja ex)
ConfirmedEach tin holds five 30th Celebration booster packs and a foil promo card of Sylveon ex or Greninja ex. Australian release Friday 6 November 2026 (brought forward from 4 December); some retailer listings still show the December date.
Release times
Preorders for the tin have already come and gone online: Toymate and JB Hi-Fi in July, EB Games in August, and BIG W and Kmart in September, all opened while retailers still showed the original December release date. None of those listings is available as of 18 October, and no further online release has been confirmed, although CardWatch has identified a potential JB Hi-Fi restock with no confirmed date or time.
The 5 Booster Tin is expected to be available in store at major retailers on 6 November, particularly BIG W, Kmart and Toymate, which have stocked previous 30th Celebration releases. BIG W and Kmart stores generally open from 8am, while Toymate's opening hours vary by location. Arriving before opening is a sensible approach, although individual store availability and revised launch arrangements have not yet been confirmed. Target is also worth checking, with stores commonly opening at 8am or 9am, and has previously released Pokémon stock online on launch days.
No retailer has announced special arrangements for 6 November. Games World opened at 8am for the 16 September and 2 October releases, and selected Toymate stores opened at 7am for the 16 September launch in NSW, SA, VIC, ACT and QLD; neither has confirmed special opening hours for this release, so assume normal hours unless they announce otherwise.
Also releasing around 6 November
Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution, Delta Reign is also scheduled for Friday 6 November, so stores may be handling two Pokémon releases on the same morning. Delta Reign is a separate expansion, and its retailer availability does not confirm stock of the 5 Booster Tin.
The 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection: Day & Night was originally expected on 6 November too, but its Australian release has moved to 13 November. The Figure Collection (Mew and Mewtwo) and the Ditto Premium Collection have moved to 20 November. Some retailer pages still show the earlier dates; the release hub tracks each product.

Where to buy on release day
Online vs in-store availability by retailer. Availability, limits and product mix can differ by store and location.
BIG W opened an online preorder for the tin at $45 on the morning of 4 September, sold as one assorted line and showing a 3 December date; it was available only briefly, and CardWatch last saw the listing on 8 September. Based on its previous 30th Celebration launches, BIG W is one of the strongest expected in-store options for 6 November, with stores generally opening at 8am. Its individual release arrangements and store allocations have not yet been confirmed as of 18 October.

Kmart opened an online preorder for the tin at $45 at 2:30pm AEST on 23 September, announced half an hour earlier as a scheduled release and showing a 4 December date; it was no longer available by that evening. Based on its previous 30th Celebration launches, Kmart is another strong in-store option for 6 November. Most stores open at 8am, so arriving before opening is the best bet; a 24-hour Kmart does not necessarily mean a midnight release. Its revised release arrangements and individual store stock remain unconfirmed.

JB Hi-Fi listed the 5 Booster Tin on 3 July and opened preorders at $54 on 6 July. On 13 October, JB told preorder customers that the supplier had brought the release forward to Friday 6 November. CardWatch has since identified 1,100 units staged at JB for a potential online restock, with a purchase limit of one per customer; that stock has not been released, and no restock date or time has been confirmed as of 18 October. If you ordered in July, check JB Hi-Fi's purchase limit before ordering again: an order that takes you over the limit may be cancelled. JB Hi-Fi primarily sells Pokémon TCG online, so any restock is more likely to appear online than in store.

EB Games took tin preorders at $65 in its 28 August 30th Celebration online round, open to EB Plus members with a limit of one product per member; CardWatch recorded the tin going out of stock shortly after the second preorder wave began around 4pm. EB has confirmed the 6 November release date. For previous 30th Celebration releases EB also offered selected in-store preorders and had limited walk-in stock at some locations after release, varying by product and store; whether tins will be available to walk-in customers on 6 November remains unconfirmed.

Target has carried the earlier 30th Celebration releases in store, so it is worth checking on 6 November, with stores opening at 8am or 9am depending on location. It is also the one major retailer that has sometimes released Pokémon stock online on launch day, so keep watching online as well. CardWatch has not tracked a Target listing for the tin, and Target has not confirmed the revised date, tin-specific store availability or any online release.
Toymate listed the 30th Celebration Tin for preorder on 3 July at $54, under the name '4 Booster Tin'. Based on its previous 30th Celebration launches and early-opening arrangements, Toymate is one of the strongest expected in-store options for 6 November. Individual store stock and any special opening hours have not yet been confirmed.

Games World released the 16 September and 2 October 30th Celebration waves in store on the day and rarely sells online now, so it is worth checking on 6 November, though it has not confirmed that it will have the tin. It opened at 8am for both of those releases but has not confirmed hours for 6 November; check its posts the day before.
Other retailers to watch
Woolworths has the tin loaded in its system under the same article number BIG W uses for it (6087713), but none of the 1,141 Woolworths stores CardWatch monitors has shown stock of it, and no 30th Celebration stock has been recorded at Woolworths stores in WA, SA, Tasmania or the Northern Territory; that is a catalogue record, not a release plan. Kidstuff, Toyworld and Myer have each carried earlier 30th Celebration products in store, with availability varying by store (and at Myer by state and timing); none has anything tin-specific confirmed.
Specialist stores
EE TCG lists the tin at $55 and still shows the 4 December date; Pokébox lists it at $59.99 as an assorted tin; Collectible Madness lists it at $75. None of the three shows stock as of 18 October, and many specialist stores allocate through preorder, so check each store directly.
Going in-store? Read this first
High-demand launches are handled differently by each store and shopping centre, so confirm the details for your specific store on the day. See the full in-store release day guide.
Shopping-centre access
If the store is inside a shopping centre, check the centre's own opening and access information as well as the store's advertised time. Some public entrances open earlier because they service early-opening tenants (supermarkets, gyms), and different entrances can leave you much closer to Kmart, BIG W and the like. Do not use staff-only or restricted entrances, and do not assume a queue at one exterior entrance is the only queue. When you arrive, confirm where the actual store queue is forming.
Find where the line is forming
Most stores will use the normal entrance and a simple first-come queue. Some stores may hand out numbered tickets or stickers, or introduce another queue system on the day. If staff or security are managing the queue, follow their directions.
Arrive early and expect queues
Arrive early and expect queues to form outside the shopping centre before opening. Once the centre opens, customers will generally make their way to the retailer and form a second queue outside the store. Queue management varies by location. Some stores may hand out numbers or tickets, use stickers, or introduce purchase limits, while others may simply serve customers in queue order.
24-hour Kmart
A 24-hour Kmart does not necessarily mean a midnight Pokémon release. On previous launches, collector reports have varied: some stores released around midnight, others held launch stock until the morning. Check with the specific store rather than assuming stock will be released at 12:00am.
CardWatch state channels
Check your CardWatch Discord state channel before travelling and while moving between stores. Members share live local intelligence: queue sizes, where the queue is forming, whether numbers are being handed out, reported limits, whether stock has reached the floor or customer service, and whether a store looks sold out. These are live community reports and can change or be incorrect. Open the CardWatch Discord.
Have a backup store
Pick a second destination before launch morning. Areas with several relevant retailers (Kmart, BIG W, Toymate, Toyworld, Games World and local card stores) give you another option if your first store has a big queue, gets no stock or sells out. None of these are guaranteed to have release-day stock.
Before you leave home
- Check the retailer's opening time
- Check the shopping centre's opening time and public entrances
- Check the latest retailer and local-store social posts
- Check your CardWatch state channel
- Know your backup store
- Don't assume another store's limits or queue system applies to yours
Release-day game plan
- Know what you are buying: One tin, two designs (Sylveon ex or Greninja ex), five 30th Celebration booster packs and a foil promo card. Where a retailer sells it as an assorted line, you may not get to choose the design.
- Check the date your retailer shows: The Australian release is Friday 6 November. Some retailer pages still show the original 3 or 4 December date; the product release page tracks what each retailer states.
- Going in-store: BIG W, Kmart and Toymate are the strongest expected in-store options for 6 November, based on previous 30th Celebration releases. BIG W and Kmart stores generally open from 8am, while Toymate's hours vary by location. Target is also worth checking. Arriving before opening is sensible, but check your local store's hours and retailer announcements closer to release.
- CardWatch state channels: Before you leave, check your state's channel in the free CardWatch Discord for queue sizes, store openings, purchase limits, sightings and sold-out reports from shoppers near you, and post what you see so others can act on it. These are live member reports, not retailer announcements, and they can change within minutes.
- Preorders and online: The online preorder windows at Toymate, JB Hi-Fi, EB Games, BIG W and Kmart have passed. JB Hi-Fi has a potential restock pending, but no timing has been confirmed. Target has sometimes released Pokémon stock online on launch day, so keep CardWatch alerts enabled rather than relying on a predicted drop time.
